In a small bowl, mix together 2 Tsp brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, paprika, ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Set aside for the dry rub.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, onion powder, worcestershire sauce, remaining ground black pepper, soy sauce, and salt.

Place the brisket on a platter and season the meat with all the rub mix. Let the Brisket sit to absorb the run, uncovered in the fridge for 2 hours.

Press “saute” on the Instant Pot® and add the olive oil to the bowl of the machine. Add the seasoned brisket and brown for 4 minutes, flip the brisket over and brown for another 4 minutes. Add the chopped garlic and cook for one more minute.

Add the sauce mix to the Instant Pot® and place the lid on the Instant Pot® and seal, making sure the steamer valve is set to “seal”. Press the “meat/stew” button and set the timer for 90 minutes. Once the cooking cycle has finished, let the Instant Pot® do a natural pressure release (that means don’t touch it!).

Serve the brisket while warm with the sauce from the Instant Pot® dripped over the top!

What is the very best cut of beef and best cut of pork to make the very best instant pot meal. Price of meat is not an issue to me, I just want the best flavor possible. I am also looking for recipes for SIX QUART INSTANT POT WHOLE MEALS IN ONE POT. Hope you can help me. Thank you so much!

You forgot the part about adding the liquid to above recipe. all in all it sounds yummy! I may try it this Christmas with company.

Recipe has been updated with the sauce addition (thanks!)- The sauce goes in the Instant Pot® right before you put the lid on and seal the pot.

What do you think about adding a basket of peeled potatoes, a couple of onions to the pot after the meata is all done. Is there enough “juice left that I can safely cook them for 12 to 15 minutes without burning?
